looks like you live in an area with somewhat heavy snow. invest well in snow tires and perhaps even a spare set of rims...

kind of a tricky situation because once you get past Kentucky you might not want to be running on snow tires in warm temps, not the best conditions for snow tires yet you dont' know what conditions you'll have from Montreal to Kentucky.

I have a CRV for winter, the S is my summer car. I'll never use the tires ever again after the trip...

Wow I can't go on for more than 2 hours in my stock MY02 without my lower-back hurting, and I'm a very athletic 5'10", 180lbs, 25yo.

How u drove from ontario to florida is beyond me...
This is NOT a car for road trips more than 2-3 hrs imho

lol, I thought I was the only one like that, I swear that I can't drive more than 2 hours at one time in my S2K without getting uncomfortable back pain. I could never take this car on a road trip. All I need is to get more rake out of the seat but it doesn't recline enough to satisfy my back pain, so 2 hours is about my limit. Once the pain starts setting in I usually end up moving my seat closer to the steering wheel much more than I would like, just so I can recline the seat more. That usually reduces the back pain, but at that point it's no longer fun to drive.

I can sit for 8-10 hours without any issue. Likely your sitting position needs adjustment and you should be stretching out your back muscles regularly; not while driving but just in general.

Agreed, I'm 22, 6'1" and prolly 220 and in decent shape with some low back problems and I managed North Florida to New York and back without any pain.

I wish I could recline my seat more, I'm all the way back and fully reclined just to drive :/

lol, don't worry about it. When I took mine up there 2-3 weekends ago it was low 30's in Jacksonville, fl and low 30's in new york. Unless there's snow on the ground you'll be fine, and its 40 degrees there in NYC now.

Oh, and I was running Bridgestone Potenza SE2s, whatever tires came on the car 6 years ago.

I'm 6'2" 210lbs and an armchair athlete. I drove 14 hours a day, 4 days in a row to go from Delaware to Los Angeles (S2k Homecoming). I also drove back, for a total of 6750 miles. I had NO issues with my back.

When I cruise locally, I usually slump down low in the seat. For that long haul I pulled the seat forward a click or two, and sat upright (back fully against the back of the seat). It was awkward for the first our or so, but beyond that it was the VERY comfortable.

The car drives like a dream, and I can't imagine using another vehicle for that long of a trip. If I'm going to be stuck in a car for that long, I better love it.
