I'm 5'10 too but I never feel the need to lean back at all, I love the s. I had the same worry when I first sat in the car but it's not bad at all when you sit upright.

I'm 6'2... The further foward the seat on the rail the more it will allow you to lean back. But if your taller, obviously sliding forward on the rail you will lose leg room.

Leaning back may "seem" more comfortable but upright is a much better long term position and is actually better for you which in turn is more comfortable.

Try it and see for yourself.

6'1" and I still move the seat up a little towards the wheel, back of the seat is in its most upright posistion.

Well I lean like a cholo and it is perfect. But seriously, I've driven from NC to NY several times and it was more than comfortable. The seat is almost all the way back on the rails and the back is reclined where there is about 3" between the top of the seat and the roll hoop. I am 5'8" btw.

Sniperjza,

Thanks for your future service and taking the challenge to join the Army. Good luck with your basic and advanced infantry training. Where do you go these days for basic??

Also good luck with getting an S2000. Hold out until you get on base. There's usually a lot of really nice cars for sale around base and you may be lucky and pick up a good buy.

Like the others have said and I will reinforce it, the S is a great car and I have taken a 1,200 mile roadtrip in mine and was very comfortable the entire time. Half the fun is looking so take your time. You might also ask the younger guys here what they're paying for insurance and plates before you make the plunge so you can factor that into your budget.

Again, good luck with the new endeavor

I find the seat can be adjusted enough to suit any driving position. I find myself often changing seat back 2-3 clicks back/forward on drives of 30+ minutes for comfort and circulation. Might be a function of age and a temperamental back. I prefer the seat in the RSX to the S, the seat bottom is a little longer providing better leg support.

6'3'' here i keep my seat on 3rd click forward (pull handle slightly scoot up one notch, x3) then i push hard back on the seat with the recline lever pulled up.

this gets the seat completely flush against the back panel and gives a very reasonable lean

Just sit in one, and see. Maybe the S2000 isn't for you. It could very well be the case.

I know that TTs aren't for me. No matter how much time I spend on moving the seat back and forth, and adjusting the incline, I could never get the position right. Same goes for 350Z and GTI -- my body just doesn't fit well, even if I spend time adjusting the steering and all that. But then I tend to fit alright into A4 and 3-series.

Whereas the S2000 ... it feels like home to me
