What do you expect really? The regular Civic Type R already hands the S2k its ass already. And here I'm assuming you're talking about Mugen's Civic RR.

How'd they test the cars?

I would not. That civic is a racecar. Lighter, same power, more expensive, etc.

I don't think having the tops down on the S2000s helped - especially for the Type S's wing. I typically loose 10+ mph top down compared to up.
