I expressed this opinion then and I'll repeat it now. It was TRULY SHAMEFUL what that board sponsor did. Clearly, you guys saved HUNDREDS OF $$$$$$$ on the GENUINE article.
It is also most unfortunate that the board administrators cannot separate sponsorship from the "good of its membership".
(I wonder if pressures will be made to have this thread disappear, too.)
I noticed the Supercharger of course, very nice looking, congrats on a great piece of equipment. But then my eyes wandered to the red engine sway bar and noticed Comptech on the label. Can't decide which is better, Comptech or Vortech, eh?
Thanks for the compliments! I really appreciate it!
I have been easy on the car since finishing up at 5am this morning.
I wanted to do some normal driving and make some checks on fluid leaks. So far so good. I have had to add 1/2 qt of oil and a 1/2 a gallon of anti-freeze to both systems.
Brogers,
I'll give you a ride anytime. I am all over HEB, GP and Arlington all the time.
BTW I really enjoy interacting with and helping the S2ki members with this GB. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thanks guys.
Hopefully I can post the finished product before next weekend.
PS Post more pics of your car CMiS2k...your car is beautifully moded. You have my kind of taste
Vortech advertises this kit as adding 108 HP to the crank (as is, without tuning), so about 350 HP total.
Wheel HP, however, has been dynoed ranging from 285 to 310 HP (stock is about 200 HP).
I'd look into cleaning that engine bay before letting a mechanic see it. Now if you're installing the blower, then that's a different story. A mechanic will most likely take better care with the belief that you're taking good care of it.
