I always get questioned by my girlfriend as to why I park so far away. She just doesn't get it.....

I have yet to get a door ding from a door but I did get a fender ding/crease from a door.

Worst thing is I parked at the FURTHEST corner there was at this place, and I go there every wed. and that parking lot barely fills up. There are plenty of spots in the front of the entrance, and plenty of handicapped spots up front. I park at least 20 spots away from the front entrance and parked my driver side as close as I could to the curb/planter so that if by some miracle someone wanted to walk the extra time and park next to me they still he had plenty of space.

Come back out a hour later low and behold a super old toyota landcruiser with handicap tags parks right next to me so close i could barely squeeze my body between my car and his. First thing pops into my head "if this guys handicapped why the hell didn't he park in the 4 empty spots in front of the entrance, second there were only maybe 12 other cars that parked in front of the entrance there and about 10 spots inbetween my car and the closest car.

I squeeze inbetween his car and mine to check if there is damage...yeap BIG door ding/crease on my fender. Still Not as bad as my door but come on any ding on the car sucks. I happen to look over and see the dude who I'm guessing looks to be in his late 60's walking towards me which at the point i guess is the owner of the landcruiser. I stand in front of my car while looking at my fender and him, back and forth. At this point he spots me looking at him and my car and back at him, he stops pretends to go looking through is bag turns around and walks back into the building.....

Seriously at least apologize if you KNOW you dented it, I could have scratched up his car, dented it back but you know what not worth the effort or the karma. I just got in my car and left.

never, EVER park next to neglected, rusted cars. surprisingly, parking next to a minivan with sliding doors is ok- they don't swing out.
