Hey Sevnt4, I live in glendale too. I also have the exact same S2000. What part of glendale do you live in.

They will lower the price when they stay on the lot more the a month. Why would they lower the price otherwise. I thinks its very strange so many people on this board are calling dealers greedy yet I see many offering there cars for sale used at very high prices. Are you greedy because you do that or are you just trying to get the most for your money? Most dealers are getting under 12 S2K's a year. Keep one other thing in mind. When those greedy dealers start discounting the cars heavily the resale value will drop like a stone.

Like old man Ferrari said, "Always build one less car than the demand calls for." I hope the S2000 stays the course as well.

Considering what a tremendious value the car is at MSRP I have no regrets for paying MSRP for the first time in my life!

Michael, you need to get beyond this point and move on to ownership.. The joy of the S is in driving not shopping. You are missing out on hundreds of dollars worth of fun. My $0.02

I disagree. Spending $5 over what you want to spend isn't worth it. Not downplaying the car, it's irrelevant. Dealers shouldn't have the control, you have the money. I'd rather travel 1000 miles to get what you want. Why not talk to a dealer far away, pay what you want, subtract the cost of the plane ticket and enjoy the ride back while you still have this nice weather?

That's price fixing, and it's illegal.

Hey Michael, take the Z for a test drive and drive it to the Honda dealer. Tell the saleman you wanted to compare the looks side-by-side. Lean your comments towards the Z and see if the price on the S drops.

I agree. Get that on tape and take it to the commerce police.

Yeah, I was reading down the thread waiting for someone to point that out. I'm no antitrust attorney, but this is price fixing, and it is illegal. In fact, I believe a class action suit has been filed in the NYC area against Daimler Chrysler for this very same practice. So, if any of you guys out in SoCal are feeling litigious, call a plaintiff's attorney. Who knows, the attorney could get rich, and you could get a few free oil changes. Actually, I'm kinda kidding about the free oil changes, but the practice is illegal.
