Sanding Your Headlights Tutorial 101

Had mine done for 50 bucks by a car detail company.Look great but the knucklehead put a small nick in my paint job because he was too lazy to tape it of.Took about 20 minutes.

Give you guys a trick from the aubody trades of working on fine cars - sand in straight lines and put some soap in the water to lubricate - when you buff against straight lines the shine comes up faster, buff in circles - anything past 1000 grit is a waste.

Do you just polish the outside I'm guessing? Don't have to take the housings apart. My lights have some weird haze/film on them that is getting worse, never thought about wetsanding but I might give it a shot.

It really works if you do it right. Like i said, I take no responsiblity, but mine came out great. I would try a cleaner like plexus or something else first, and if that doesn't work, find a hobby shop and buy the sandpaper (canvas) kit. The good thing about the canvas is, it last for a long time, not like sandpaper.
