Id rather not lose my S due to stupidity on the streets.
vsa saved my ass once before too! I was on one of the local sprited roads that I tend to push pretty hard on late at night. Well I had slippery stuff on my tires before but managed to wear it off on the contact patch, once I tok a turn hard enough and hit the sidewall of the tire it let loose!
I would have never of been able to save since I was prob in the vacinity of 70mph in the middle of a turn. I began to oversteer and lose control and VSA kicked in and saved my life and my car!!! And I dont consider myself a bad driver either..

You should never be stupid and drive like that on the streets in the first place

I can understand swerving in and out of traffic and speeding in traffic as being careless, but driving spirited on the road when no one else is around you is not careless... just have to be extra aware of things.

With things like road hazards like was described above, you could still be driving safely and slowly and still lose control of the car. The description of the above is like hitting a patch of black ice. Driving at a slower speed isn't necessarily going to prevent the car from losing control.
Personally, I think VSA is a good thing (even though I don't have it on my car), and thankfully it can be turned off for the times you don't need it.
