Say goodbye to Suzuka Blue?
In Japan, there are three blues available: Monte Carlo, Suzuka, and navy blue. Just got back from Honda Showroom in Tokyo three weeks ago with the latest catalogue. In it, it mentioned the Navy blue will be discontinued, and not Suzuka. Suzuka will still be avaliable in 2003 .
Hope this helps.....

that's a true statement mike.
if i could buy a Suzuka Blue S2000 for 30k or a Spa Yellow for 33k, i'd go for the yellow b/c that's my choice of color!
i doubt suzuka blue owners will be able to get more b/c their color is discontinued!

I think certain colors are "rarer" than others, but a lot of it is based on personal preference/taste.
I have yet to see a blue/blue car in person, but I didn't like the "all red" on the 02 cars (just my taste). The red/black interior of the previous year looks better to me.
The blue cars may be like that too - if a dealer has no trouble moving a red, silver or black car then they will tend to order those. Someone who "really wants a red" (like me) will take another color - but they may NOT take something like an all red or blue interior.
So I guess they ARE a more rare car, but I would not think they would be worth more. Simply because if you are selling you have to find someone whose tastes match the car. A nice red/black, silver/black, black/black might be "acceptable" even if not the first choice.
Like that "purple" that BMW used on the M3s. I thought it looked good, but when you go to sell having a bright red, silver, or black M3 is going to be a lot easier to sell.

valid point dennis!
you can't sell a suzuka blue to one interested in yellow/black!
just like you can't sell an all red int. to one who hates it!
the blue/blue only appealed to certain few, while silver is the basic color that people thta don't wanna wait, would settle for!

Rarity of colors is often inversely proportional to how good they look to most buyers. Dealers order colors based in customer orders and expectations on what they can most easily sell. Puke green would probably be a VERY rare color if available, but that wouldn't make it more desirable.
