I'm maybe planning into going with a vortech sc + nos setup on MY02. Now I never heard a sc s2k cause there are only a few here on the island but they are NA. So anyone has a clip of the sound it makes? I know how a procharger will sound like, has like a whistling sound. Only v8 have them here.

What makes you think that a SCer on an S would sound different than a SCer on any other car. It will "whistle" and I have never even heard one. We'll call it a good guess...

 

Well i have no clue, but I really am curious how it sounds. I know I wont be upgrading it till late this year. But want to brain storm all these months if I want a Turbo or SC.

 

sc are great , but they sound like broken gears in idle....

 

- its actually quieter than I thought...
- I have heard rustangs with SCs and those seem loud as fucccccccccccccccccck

 

It sounds different...when idleing you hear more mech noises and a slight hiss....and it's just louder when you drive and you get the constant hiss while cruising above 4K

 

Your right it does.

 

Depends on the type/make of supercharger - some are louder than others.

 

to me sounds like a loose vaccume line (but in a VERY good way ).

 

Also depends on the type of super...like roots, screw, or centrifugal. Now the Vortech and Comptech are centrifugal so that'd be the most common type on an S. Most 'stangs I hear are screw, I believe.
