I recently bought an S2000. Why is it that owners say that they can do mid to high 13's on a stock S2000 and then I see that adding 100HP in this article doesn't do a thing to the numbers?

The speed is higher but does that mean that this is even slower out of the gate than stock?

Or does it mean that the people who report mid to high 13's are FOS?

You would think 33% more power would do more....

My guess is they had serious traction issues when they tested it. It should and will do way better times than that. I rember a while back some magazine tested a comptech supercharged s2 and it was running the same #'s I belive....

Hilarious.

Traction I believe is the issue. I saw someone post that they did a 15-100mph test and the difference was significant. Also someone said they where gonna post difference in times on a track from when they where NA and now was SC. I'll go see if I can hunt down the post.

I have been searching R&D, C&D to see what the 30 to 50 and 50 to 70 times were. Can't find them though.

There has to be some big differences somewhere with 100 hp gain. Also I have heard that the lower profile tires will actually slow the car down off of the line, is this true? Would stock rims/tires produce better times?

How much would it cost if I wanted to keep my car stock other than what is necessary to get this set up working right (SC, Exhaust, etc.). What should be done along with the SC?

I haven't had a lot of time to drive my car since the install.....but the tires just spin at 60MPH. I cant wait for the salt to be gone.

You just have no idea of the actual power gain until you drive one. These numbers dont do it justice.
