Have any of you had the misfortune of doing this? I misjudged the front and pulled slightly on top of a parking block (about 2 inches) enough to scrape the underside of the chin all the way across but no cracks. Well I guess it could of been worse. I don't think it will be too noticeable if I fill a couple of the chips with touch up paint. I have the option of purchasing a chin spoiler but obviously I don't need anything lower than it already is. Does anyone know where to find a adhesive plastic guard that will do the trick and cover the scratch?

Thanks, John

My damage is similar mostly on the bottom. At first it looked worse because plastic bits curled up and were hanging. I pulled them off no problem. Thankfully my car is black so it really isn't too noticeable. I can only see a very small chip on the front that will go away with a dab of touch up paint.

I did this a while back as well. It made the most sickening sound. I got under there with a dip bottle and fixed it up. The only people who know it's there are me and the guy who changes my oil. I actually did, at first, look to get it professionally fixed. When I heard the cost and realized I could fix it such that no one not lying under my car could see it, I quickly scratched that idea.

Good luck.

this reminds of the night i purchased the car. i drove home...but after a few minutes of admiring it in my garage, i decided to take it out for a spin. i proceeded out of the driveway but i quickly realized the area where my single lane driveway meets the street had a steep dip. at first i thought "no problem" since my '94 325i (lowered 2 inches) had no difficulty getting out. boy was i wrong about the s2k...the bottom of the chin touched the street and i was stuck there. there was no way i was going out front first. i was thinking, "F**K! first day i have the car and i already scratched it!" I put it in reverse and backed up to my garage, turned the car around and drove out of my driveway in reverse. problem solved...but i still have to be careful pulling out because of a dip at the bottom. there are some barely noticeable scratches...im just happy i didnt try to pull out faster...

just have to be more careful with the parking blocks and dips in the road...sheesh...more stress...

Yeah, I've done that too, and I have the OEM spoiler. Actually, I did it a couple of times, and after that I always parked short of the front curb. Nowadays I leave like a foot or a foot and a half from the front curb just in case. I had a quote from the Honda body shop for $250 to fix it, but I said screw it and just chalked up the damage to battle scars. Fortunately, someone eventually backed into the front of my car, and I was able to get it fixed at no cost to me. Lucky me.

Got a question for you guys. I had an opportunity to look under my car today and I realized that my dealer, when installing front lip, left out one screw and another one was only half way in. I tried to tighten the one that went in half way but couldnt get any grip on them. You guys think I should take it back to the dealer and have them fix it?? They are on very tight though....

Did you pay him to install it properly? HELL YES! Take it back!!!

What I wanna know is: Who HASN'T scratched the front of their Stook on a dip or parking block? I did it in S2KMan's after he lent it to me while he was on his honeymoon!!! Took a few hours to clean the sh*t out of my pants. Before I returned it, I went and put a $200 detail on it.

I said, "Hey, I scratched the front. Did you notice?"

He said, "You mean that wasn't there before?"

Doh!

By the way, it's now six months later and I'm an owner. Needless to say, I scraped the front of mine within the first week.

Actually, it's one reason I did get the front spoiler. I like the look as well, and it prevents the actual bumper from being scratched...and when it really gets messed up, you can always get a new one.
