Default SCREWED by bodyshop

i wanted to put on my body kiti had recently bought:
GP Sport replica:
-front bumper (1 pc)
-side skirts (2 pc)
-door cap (2 pc)
-rear skirt (2 pc)
-fender (i got into a fender bender)

i took my s2000 to a local autobody shop, in fresno ca, there was no one else to turn to that had even touched a s2000 in this little town of mines. well when i got there i told the guy to NOT!!! (my dad would kill me, i am 19 yrs old) to SCREW anything in to the car, in case i wanted to sell the car or take it off, i didn't want any holes in the car. I said no matter what, "Don't screw anything into the car" (though you can screw the kit onto the ends, but not into the body, i wanted the screws to not damage the car), I then, told him to leave out the door caps, since he said "you have to screw them in!" THerefore i left them off, since he said i had to screw them in! and the deal was for $900:

- shave the kit
- paint the parts

well to my surprise i walked in today saturday (the shop had my car for a week) the bumper and the side skirt were o, but the car was still not even do yet, then i asked when it will be done, the guy says "i forgot to order paint, i should finish it on tuesday!"

then i looked at the kit, to my surprise, the side skirts were screwed into the side of the car (inside the door, the side step, where the door covers). I said not to screw anything into the car's body panel and they went on and screwed the kit into the side step.

what can i do? i want my car out of that shop! i am doomed to be lectured by my father?

How are they suppose to put the kit onto the car without screwing parts like the sideskirt into the car itself? Double sided tape? Bondo (which is even worse cause it would be molded into the car)....

Ok, this is VERY easy...TELL THE TRUTH!! Listen, you're 19 years old. You don't think your Dad knows you better than you know yourself? Of course, use common sense and choose your words wisely... and if trouble prevails from your Dad, take it like a man, respectfully. Maybe next time you can include him in your picture of plans..Good Luck. I'm sure he will understand.

By the way, I'm a Dad too.

i wanted the side to be screwed into the ends, but they did it all around the top, couldn't they have just did the ends, like i said and tape the top, or even just trim off the top edge to avoid the ramdom screwing?

Your 19 years old, do you own the car? did you pay the 900 to the body shop? did you buy the body kit? ..... (if yes) = Tell your dad, its your stuff and not to worry about it. (if no) = take it like a man.

Call the BAR (bureau of automotive repair), in their shop they should have a huge sign about "customer rights". The phone number will be on that. good luck
