Without actually checking, there's most likely a plug under the seat that connects to the seatbelt receptacle. Unplug that plug and you'll be all set. I may be wrong, but isn't the seatbelt law in effect in every state? Wear your seatbelt, fella. I don't like Big Brother telling me what to do either, but its pretty stupid to not wear it, especially in a small, high-powered convertible.

I don't drive to the mailbox without my seatbelt, and have never seen a racer go commando either.

Every Sunday, I read in the local newspaper about traffic deaths, and I swear every one of them says the driver or passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.

It is not cool - it is dumb.

Now, if all you want to do is avoid the sound, I would guess that there is a contact switch inder the seat, and it would be a matter of pulling the connector apart, and jumping the lead that goes into the wiring harness.
