No, this is a new bulletin on the seat belt retractors themselves. Ours were installed today while the trans. work is being done. Hope to get it back tomorrow. Missed a beautiful day today.

Mine were done the same time as synchros too. I actually did not know about the bulletin for the seat belts but had some problems with it retracting. It took my dealer 6 days for syncros and seat belt.

Hmmmmm,

I have always noticed that my seat belt had a habit of locking and keeping me from leaning forward. I always assumed it was because I drive to fast and brake too hard. Could this be what the recall is about?

I got the new recall notice about the seatbelt today.

And yes it appears to be worldwide.
I had my friend Toshi in Japan explained me about the recall in Japan while ago.
Here is the post that I did sometime ago.

Got mine yesterday. Don't know the VIN off hand. Purchased right off the truck March 29.

Just so you guys know. A long time ago I had my seat belt replaced. Dunno if it was with the same defective kind but my passenger belt locked up just like they say.

The book says its supposed to take just under an hr to do the job......NOT!!!!!!!!! More like 5-8 HRS! Plus they scratched my back rear panel and had to order another one!

I was hoping that they would scratch the back window so they would have to replace that as well! No such luck!

Got my notice yesterday also. I'll have the recall done when I bring it next week for TSB 00-057 stereo replacement.
