I posted a similar thread before but i got no response. So i m guessing no one has changed their seats?? Or do the OEM seats provide sufficent support for hard driving?

the only reason i want to change my seats is leather sucks in sports cars, its slippery, gets super hot in the sun, makes you sweat....

i really want to swap out my seats for a set of recaro SRD's or some kind of cloth seats.

Just my Humble Opinion

Very much so. Unless you put the car on the track often, they are excellent seats with good side bolsters.

If anyone with black seats should ever want to make a friendly, free donation of your set to your Friendly Neighborhood Moderator (that'd be me ), I'd love to have them to replace the godawful OEM junk in my '00 Impreza 2.5RS.

Naturally I'd have to fanagle a bracket system, but.... life's full of little intricasies.

Fit of after markets seats is a real problem with this car. I have a set of Corbeau A4s arriving in about 10 days. I will post photos when I have them.

Has anyone used the Corbeau Fonza in an S2000? Looks like a nice seat for the price, but will it fit? A pair of yellow ones would look great in mine.

Sparco Roadsters (what I run) or Sparco Rev's (with modifications) will work just fine. New findings determine that Torinos will work as well.

Rails are much cheaper now that I'm carrying wedge seat adapters for the Sparco sliders. So estimate only $100 each side for a rail. Seats come with discounts which help out on the expensive shipping as well. But first thing's first - it really depends how tall you are.

There are other manufacturers of seats out there as well that will work - but they are VERY few. You need to check with something like the Rev dimensions on sparcousa.com and then check with a seat that you are interested. Or else, inquire with hecash for his .xls sheet regarding dimensions that will or will not work.

I also carry the a Cobra seat which works for our car. It was designed for the Z3 and the S2000 in mind - being narrow. Its reclinable and also has a leather option as well. Cobeau - its the bottom end of the aftermarket seat market. Marginal quality but otherwise, if it works for your back - that's the most important aspect.

Got questions? throw me an email. thanks.
