Default Seat Locks

What kind of lock is the seat lock that Kadukhan (sp?) sells? Are they a bolt along the lines of a locking lug nut? I'd like to get them on the next GB, but I was thinking in the meantime of going with a Button Head Hex Pin bolt if I can find the right size. Has anyone considered this in the past and come to any conclusion on feasibility?

Yup, very much like wheel locks. I don't have pix handy but PM Kodokan_4 for details. I think the button-head hex pin bolt is a step in the right direction, but ultimately the idea is that no one else can obtain a wrench/remover/key/whatever-you-call-it that matches your bolts.

I just got a set of the locks a week or so back and highly recommend them. Peace of mind, cheap at twice the price.

PM Pete aka Kodokan_4, he has them!
it's like wheel locks but for seats. a well known company made Pete's seat locks

i would do it right the first time instead of buying the button head hex.

I definitely want the real ones, I was just under the impression that it took some time to get them as they were only ordered when a certain number of people ordered them. I was looking at the hex pin as a temporary stopgap until the real ones were available. (Thinking that the typical thief in the night wouldn't be running around with a hex pin tool) I'll send Pete a pm and hopefully he has some available. Thanks both for the info.

I don't think you have to wait for a group buy. I purchased mine from Pete way after the group buy was available. Like everyone else said, shoot him a pm and see what he can do for you.

For info about seat lock puchase: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88983

For pictures of what the seat lock looks like: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...at+lock+picture

I believe Kodokan orders these seat locks once in a while. So, check with him to see if he has any in stock. If he doesn't, then I think he'll put you on the list for priority on his next order. I got mine almost immediately because I asked for a set while he was in the process of ordering ...

Good luck
