I live in Orlando / Kissimmee. From my expirence the (older model) civic community is ridiculous. I have seen these kind of people that would love to have my seats not only off my S2k, but out of my EP3! They look like they get this itch when they see my car. One person asked about my ep3 seats if they are for sale cause he wanted to put them in his EG. (He was young, baggy clothes, ganster talk, ganster walk, and guess what had a civic) He is the same type of person that would of stoled them right out if he had the chance. Now I am not saying all people that fit this profile do this type of work, but its alarming that most of them do. And if you fit the profile I suggest you spread the word on how low that makes you and your freinds look among others.

This is not just talking out of my ass, it is pure instinct and just knowing what type of people you are dealing with. I know a theif when i see one 70% of the time. I am so glad I moved out of my apartment complex and back to a garaged area for my S2K. My civic got the last straw over there; when it got the whole radio dash stolen out. Retail at honda for whole dash plus a/c control = 600.00 dollars. I had to use my OEM S2k radio to fill up the missing radio. My S2K was being targeted; I know it, but luckly for me; it was being worked on in Tampa.

I kid you not. The seats come out to about $4500 a piece in parts. I just replaced both of my 06 seats and it came out to $9k just for parts.

They don't come pre-assembled. They come in about 30 different pieces. And they charge premium prices for each part. Even the leather comes separately.

FYI - I'm in CA and Geico covered my claim completely. Couldn't have been happier with the service. And I just switched from State Farm a year ago.

Got my car back - new /used seats, new top and new door (they kicked it in for no good reason).
seat locks and an alarm are next.

Is it wrong to fantasize of breaking into civics with our seats and slash them up?

BTW - do I sound bitter - LOL. I just spent 500 deductible to put seats BACK in my own effing car that some M'fing punks stole. - yes I am pissed.

I told the cops about the 2 guys that just moved into my building less than a month ago and have a Scion Xa with a roll bar, guages, crappy rims and no from bumper and I'm sure ( profiling) that they told their friends about my car. there are only a couple of S2k's in the neighborhood.

10 months no issues they move in and BINGO - odd.....cause for concern - yes.

Actually it depends on your company I guess. I had to make a claim for this situation with Statefarm and my rates never changed a bit.

its a comprehensive claim - not a collision claim
seats today - gone tomorrow - it sucks.
