Default Seat wont move!

So I for the first time tried to adjust the passenger side seat today.. The seat was set about 1 notch from the furthest back possible for both recline and the bottom sliding adjustment. But today when I tried pushing it back flush, the seat wouldn't budge. it would only go forward for both adjustable settings. There's about an inch gap and won't go back any further.

I bought this car used btw with 30k mi.

Anyone experience this?

Yea.. I tried sitting in the seat and moving it. I was wrong, the seat won't move toward the front or back at all...Only the reclining part works

This happens all the time. Not just change either, sometimes other things can fall in the grooves and stop it from moving. I would check that first.

When I bought my car there was a quarter lodged on the inside rail, I had to use a super skinny and long flat head to pop it out.

Guys, i just checked this. At first i couldnt stick my hand in there to really tell. I stuck a pen and massive amounts of change was in there. I took several out that was sitting outside of the rail and the seat moves back and forth 1 notch now. Seems like its going to be a pain to get all these coins out that are sitting INSIDE the rail...

Atleast i know its not broken.

Thanks.

Hey, thanks for this tip. Sounds like the only thing that would actually work without taking off the seat. I will try to get a hold of one and see if i can get these coins out.

I would say there was about $4 in coins down there, LOL. I just got a $4 discount

If you can get to the bolts just take the seat out. It's easier that taking off a wheel

^ Unless you can't slide the seat for bolt access.
