It makes me wonder if there is any kind of leather burning or marking kit available. You know, mark the seats in an out of the way area (like the sides) with the VIN. If it's permanent it would help avoid thefts.

It would also help if Honda put the VIN on the seats like they do every frigging body panel and major part on the car.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I've been on vacation for a while, so I haven't been able to respond... Seat lock are definately on the way. For those that asked, it happened in Hauppauge.

Heh, well the sniper rifle is covered, and the scope is 6.5-20x. Maybe I'll start sleeping in the bushes .

I'm sure that if you were to buy ALL of the individual parts for this car and sum the total, it would be considerably higher than ~$32,000! It's considered a replacement part (which is marked up).

Doesn't the replacement F20C engine cost around 9 large? Can't believe a pair of replacement seats can cost more than a replacement performance engine.

Sorry to hear that Jeff. I was the guy with the Si who co-op'ed at Cosmo back in the summer of '02. I'm shocked to hear a town like Hauppauge would get hit like that. Do you still live in that apt complex across from the Mobil gas station and the townhouses? I've always assumed that was a good neighborhood.
