6. The cops show up and beat the hell out of you and taze your dog for not letting the thief have your seats.

7. Thief sues you for assault and battery and assault with a deadly weapon.

8. Cops beat you down again.

i have been updating the local section on this and haven't checked this thread out in a few days. a quick update:

insurance picked the car up tuesday and took it to the repair shop in the area. i found out that its probably going to take about 3 weeks to get new seats for it. i guess they have to get them from japan, i dont know.

also the repair shop guy and the tow truck driver who tows high end or lowered vehicles exclusively told me that there is a big parts theft ring in the carolinas area that is targeting s2000's and civics for parts. i am apparently one of the luckier s2000 owners, all the others had their roofs slashed, seats stolen, steering wheel removed and passenger side airbag removed which destroyed the dashboard.

so far the seats haven't showed up on craigslist or ebay.
I had some scumbags slash my top and mangle the conv frame. I have seat locks and they were not stolen, nor where they slashed (maybe they got spooked)

Either way a week later I had a BRAND NEW HARDTOP

Geico FTW

...says the man who refused to fully pay for seats that he received from a trusting s2ki.com member. Try checking yourself first, bro. You are no better than the other thieves.

I always like to hear about thieves being foiled by the Seat Locks.

Many cars have been broken into with Seat Locks, and the seats are still intact and not slashed.

Just ordered my seat locks as I have experience with seats being stolen.

My g/f at the time back in 2005 had the seats in her RSX Type-S stolen. It sucks when it happens to you or someone you love let alone a fellow enthusiast. Sad thing was I was hanging out at a popular cruise spot a week later and saw a DX hatch with RSX seats in it. Asked the kid where he got them, he told me his girlfriend bought them for him on ebay. Asked how much she paid, he stuttered for a sec and said he didn't know. It was blatantly obvious he was lying. I should have beat his ass right then and there.
