Staple item for the secret compartment consist of the following.
1. DUCT TAPE cause every race car should come with some 200mph duct tape.
2. ZIP TIES for when that damn groundhog or other animail turns into road kill so you can tie up your front clip
3. 10MM, 12mm sockets and 1/4 wench to fix things.
4. 5mm alen wench and spark plugs and spark plug socket for when you start gettin misfires.
5. The little round rubber things that hardly ever get used expect in cas of an emergency. (You know how the S picks up chicks)
6. Well I guess that about covers the basics minus the fire extinguisher but of course it wont fit in the secret compartment)

With the key in the ignition, press and hold down the unlock button and the trunk open button for 45 sec....then take the key out and pull the e-break until it clicks 3 times...don't go more then three clicks. pause for 30 seconds and the compartment will open.

Also if you have your ignition set to auto start on the remote on the keys this will also engage the compartment with the remote.

Good luck...
LMFAO!!!! i tried it and it doesnt work DAMN

Wellll... I think there's another secret compartment... not sure if this has been there since 00MY, but if you were to take a look at the little shelf on the passenger side (right where most cars have a glove box), deep inside the shelf there's a little net that separates really little items (for pens, 'pons, contra -bans & -ceptives) from the normal, flocked shelf section...

Didnt find my compartment till two weeks later from when I purchased. Saw a thread on here about it. And for the ones that claims to look in your manual, all you know they hide are manuals in there. As I found mine in there as well.

OP, have you found it yet? after you do, you'll find yourself throwing a lot of random stuff in there

I have a 01my and the only thing that i have found other than the obvious two center holes is the storage net on the lower right hand side of the center console nest to the gear shift so I dont think that it is on the earlier models. But who knows.
