The seller is obviously not an experienced "auctioneer".

He should be using a rate calculator to figure shipping costs. $43 is definitely too much if someone on the West Coast wins it, and its still pretty high for someone on the East Coast.

I ship almost every product of mine by FedEx Ground. Stuff usually gets from one coast to the other in 3, sometimes 4, days. A 1lb package costs me about $6-$7 to ship... he should have no problem shipping that thing for like $15.
