Seibon MG Vs. Real Mugen
Seibon MG (Mugen Style hood) how ridged is the hood? I have seen pictures of the S2000 engineer on top of the Mugen showing it will not collapse under his weight.
Can anyone with a Seibon hood make the same clam that it will not flex when a load is place on the hood?
Is the hood latch included?/ does this hood require hood pins?
Kingmotorsports clams the authentic Mugen hood does not require hood pins and the hood latch is more then sufficient to prevent the hood from flying off.

The Seibon MG hood is what it is... a "replica".. You want authentic get JDM...
You want something to stand on... get kevlar..
The latch is on the car. The D ring is attached to the hood by 4 bolts... If all four bolts back out then the hood will pop to the safety latch.
I don't know anyone with a Seibon hood with Pins... Pins on Dry carbon for racing maybe but for the street I don't see too many applications.

The original Mugen hood was designed to produce down force thus the picture was being use to illustrate the fact that the Mugen hood would not collapse/vibrate under the extreme forces created by aerodynamic flow that would cause a normal CF hood designed like this but with out sufficient under hood structure to fold under the pressure..
