Well, I loved it for the past 6 months and 6 thousand miles I had it, but its time to say goodbye (for now). I need more SEATS!!! Tomorrow I'm going to trade my S2K in for a 2001 Acura MDX, I'm getting $30,000 on the trade. Anyways, I have some stereo equipment (custom Box w/10" JL AUDIO SUB and 8 Disc Eclipse CD Changer Built-in) that replaces toolkit in trunk. Crossfire 50x4 Amp, Eclipse 2 Ways and Eclipse Headunit..I think I will sell the stereo in one package (it kicks ass trust me)..more on it in the Group Buy section soon or just email me with an offer... Also have a Neuspeed STB brand new in the box...Anyways, this website rocks,if Honda ever makes a faster S2K I might pick it up....Until then I hope the Acura MDX has such devoted owners as you guys! See ya...

Have fun with the MDX. We are looking to trade our 99 TL for it, in the next MY. A great SUV to be sure.

"if Honda ever makes a faster S2K I might pick it up"

Yeah, I see what you mean. That's the problem with the S2K. It is just dog slow. I mean even the Miata can beat it... er no? Well, the Spyder...hmmm, alright than of course the Z3 could.....oh, maybe not. Well, surely the Boxster would....oh really? Well, the $60k+ Boxster S would destroy....you're kidding?!? Well, anyway it just needs to be faster is all.....

my condolences and congratulations! sorry to hear you're parting with the S2K, but you'll be happy once again with the MDX!

trust me, 6600mi and 4 months later, and we're still loving every minute.

good luck

That's too bad! Hate to hear you're getting rid of it, but sometimes practicality prevails.

On a side note, I've been in the SF bay area for almost a week now on business and haven't seen a single Stook! I'm commuting from my second home (in Martinez) to the project site (in Stockton), so you'd think I'd have plenty of opportunity to see something, but NADDA!

Also, going to L.A. on Friday for the weekend and then to Tucson on Monday. Maybe I'll see your old car there. Where will it be? What dealer are you trading to? I'd enjoy seeing another Stook SOMEWHERE!

(I must admit, though, that it's nice to realize how rare these cars are. Makes you feel kinda special...)

You've got to tell us how much you paid for it, so we can calculate how really stupid you are for blowing at least $6000 in six months on a whim!!!

A grand a month, boy I wish I had that much money to piss away!

Sorry, I had to get this off my chest --- What a waste!

You need more seats for what? New family member? Good choice on the SUV...Have fun with MDX. BTW, if HONDA ever makes a faster S2K, it's still gonna be a 2 seater roadster so you still have the same problem you are having with seats

S2000 Owner,

Give the guy a break. It's not your money or your decision. The guy is trying to say goodbye and you are bitching at him for making a decision you have no insight into.

Take care, KidS2K

Good luck with the new MDX. Sweet car, for a sport ute But seriously, I am sorry to hear about anyone having to take the hit b/c you need more seats, but I am sure it was worth it just to have owned and driven such a sweet car! Personally, I think its worth it, and I hope you do too. I paid 39.5k for mine, lets see divided by 16 mos = about $2468 / month cost to me so far. I guess S2000 owner would be rippin me a new one too if my family plans changed and needed a larger car? Good luck, and here are a few MDX boards that i have checked out:

KidS2K, I'm sorry to see you go! I, too, at times have needed some extra seats, but I bought a daily driver to accomodate that.

Oh, and don't let a few sourpusses get to you; we enjoyed having you with us and contributing!

P.S. To you other folks with the nasty remarks, LAY OFF. Last I checked, that's not what we're about here at S2Ko, and your vitriol doesn't speak well of the atmosphere of our site!
