Default Selling s2k to get bike?

So considering I have owned the s2k for a year now I was thinking about selling it and getting a new bike and a pos car (~$2k). Payments would be much lower and I would have a sweet bike. Has anyone here does this or something like it? Smart idea? I realized this is a bias website but I figured I would ask here and the gsxr forums and compare and contrast to help me make my decision. Thanks!

I have both an S2K and a GSXR, and to be honest I enjoy the S2k a lot more, being that it has A/C, is much much less dangerous (albeit not as fast lol) and it can be driven comfortably in the rain... just a few things to consider against each other! The bike is most certainly a lot of fun, but it's nice to relax and drive a fun car. Either way I hope you are happy with your decision.

Agreed, the S2000 is safer, not as fast, much better in the rain. More creature comforts really...Because think about it, can you really live without A/C ? can you really live without heater? can you really ride a bike safely at night?

If money is a concern, a Miata and an SV650 make a great car/bike combination. Maximum fun/$$$.

how often do you think you'd ride the bike? If your answer is less then 75-80% of the time, I don't think it's worth selling your awesome car for a piece of crap junker DD -- no matter how much fun the bike is.

Im rolling in a Civic Si and a BMW K1200S these days. I get more comfort when I am in the car and more performance when I am on the bike. Yes I miss the s2000, no I wont trade back Its a different kind of fun and honestly a lot easier lifestyle to live with for me.

1. Yes, I can live without A/C. I ride during the summer in FL with my full-face helmet and mesh jacket.

2. Yes, I can live without a heater. When it is in the 30's in the morning, I can drive though, but I can live with it on the bike, if necessary.

3. Yes, why wouldn't someone be able to ride a bike safely at night? It has lights, etc. It's no less safe vs the daytime than a car is.

4. A more logical argument would be whether you can operate a bike safely in the rain. In that case, it does suck, but you can always get rain gear. I keep my jacket liner and rain pants to go over my jeans in my bag and I'm fine. If it's raining in the morning, I'd usually drive. But on the way home, who cares if you get a little wet. In my case, I'm often dry by the time I hit home anyway.

I actually bought the S2000 because I was on a huge kick to go through the steps of buying a motorcycle. In the end, I don't like in an area that work well with a motorcycle and I just don't want to deal with the problems of crappy drivers and motorcycle. So I bought the closest thing to a moto! My wife also had a lot to say about it and is a lot happier with the S2000.
