Default Series 1 and Series 2 Differences?

Iv seen them called the My01 and the MY04?

But basically in australia we have 2 series, the original s2000, and the new s2000, with revised front lights, tail lights body etc, can someone tell me exacally what the changes are, and if the parts are interchangable?

Oh, and hi, i currently have a Honda Prelude, but looking to upgrade to a s2000 in the near future, just decided id try and get some info before hand.

Thanks for your input

Wheels, tires, brake pads, springs, swaybars and engine are the biggest changes. The MY04's and up have a 2.2 liter engine with more available torque at a lower rpm, but with an 8,200 rpm redline. Gears 1st through 4th are lower.

you get 17" wheels, revised front and rear bumper (rear has exhaust contours), LED rear lights (NOT direct swap with prior years), newer front headlights, updated interior (more room and different colors), slightly better stereo, XM satellite radio optional, softer springs, stiffer overall chassis, revised rear suspension (not as twitchy at high speeds).

The F22 should only be an American market addition. The rest of the world should retain the F20c.

MY+XX refers to Model Year

The versions are more commonly known as AP1 and AP2 and the differences have been ampley described in here and other searchable threads

AP1 and AP2 are a common yet slightly inaccurate distinction. The european and japanese MY04+'s that retained the F20C are still called AP1's.

Only the F22C equipped models are actually AP2's
