I'd like your input on what YOU think i should sell my s2k for. Its red/black 2001
with --->67,000mi. all records, no dings, dents. great condition. i haven't seen any s2k's for sale with mileage this high, so i thought i would get the board's opinion. no mods to speak of, except some of ricks leather. your opinion is much appreciated! Thanks

I'd go in the high 24's and see what you get. Remember you can always come down in price but not go up!

Wuh! That is very high mileage. I don't think anyone would buy it. Check the book value, but I still doubt anyone would buy it, unless it's dirt cheap, or maybe a little more expensive than dirt. I'd say rocks or sands.

I think I could dig up some rocks to trade, I think I'd be making out a little better than you, though.

Seriously though, I intend on buying an s2000 as soon as I can - I was sold as soon as I rode in a friend's after helping him do some work to it.

Good Luck!

Hehe...That's funny! Didn't meant to offend, it was a figurative speech and for fun. But almost 70K miles on an '01? That's like driving around the earth three times. Where have you gone with it? Good luck in selling!

I would set the price at $24,999 OBO and sell it for whatever you are willing to let it go for. Nobody can make that decision for you. If you need the money fast then you may have to settle for less.

thanks for the input guys. i knew going into this purchase that sports cars depreciate like mad. i thought that maybe since it was a honda, it would be a somewhat better resale. most of the votes on the poll though, have put the price right around what i expected. it IS a lot of miles, did a lot of driving between DC and Baltimore, plus daily commute.

yelpwr: no offense taken whatsoever, thanks for your feedback

You should check the various web sites that give resale value. All factor in the mileage for you. I would suspect the low twenties is where you will end up. The car will sell. You will just have to price it right. I would not start as high as some say however. It will discourage buyers. Start about 22,900. I would also do some research on if an extended warranty could still be purchased and have that info for any perspective buyer. Resale value on the S is still incredible compared to most cars however there has been a big drop in value since this time last year on resales. If this were another type of car you would be loooking at 15 K with that kind of milege.

I wouldn't set it anywhere near $25k. There are a number on autotrader with around 70k on them listed for right around $20k and none have sold. You might have luck pricing it there as long as you make note that the price is negotiable and as long as you're willing to take less for it.
