So I (now) know there are stacks of us in the bay area.

One of you at least must have some positive advice vis a vis tuners.

I'm looking for a shop to do some work on my s2k.

Any thoughts?

Dyno Spot Racing (www.dynospotracing.com)

Couldn't recomend a shop any higher. Clean shop w/ Dyno if you want to use it, and techs that actually understand cars and performance.

They are in Mountain View

What are you having done to your car?

I take mine to a place called Tech3 in San Jose. Here is a link to an article about them.

I like the guys there. It is not a clean shop at all. When you first walk in you think am I doing the right thing? But I let them have my car for a week while I was away on business and they took excellent care of it. All they did was install coilovers, exhaust, wheels, tires, painted my calipers, strut bar and re-aligned it. They wanted to do alot more to it i.e. supercharge, fpr and other stuff...but I want to wait until my warranty is expired before I do any engine mods. Ask for Chuck or Will, tell them I refered you to them.

Or you can go to Dynosport in Mountain View. That is a very clean shop. Krazik had some work done by them. They seem like a very professional operation. Plus you can have your car dyno'd there too.

for a trip a little bit closer to home, try auto plus sportzentrium on mission in daly city. the owner's name is philip sy. i'm pretty sure he's done some simple mod's on an s2000 earlier last year. his shop deals heavily with modified vehicles. as a matter of fact, his showroom is adorned with a modified civic that has a japan spec'd integra type r engine specifically tuned by spoon motorsports. check 'em out!
