Default Shaky steering wheel

I brought a set of AP1 wheels with winter tires and I mounted them on my car yesterday. Then I went for a test drive. The car feel kinda slipperpy if driven over 30miles per hour and the steering wheel shake from left to right back and fourth. You can only feel it if you drive over 30mph. It also feels worst in the rain than in my summer tire. Anyone have idea what is causing the problem. I see that the guy is not using stagger setup, it's 205 all around but the wheels were balanced. I re-checked to make sure the rotations are all correct. Could it be a bent rim. Anyone have idea? Tires are like brand new with 10/32 thread. thx much

p.s. i drive an AP2

On a side note, the wheels and tires were balanced previously, do i need to re-balance them again?

Check the tire pressure - could be part of it.

Likely a bent rim or out-o-round rubber

Tire pressure is all at 40psi. How do you check for bent rim without dismounting the tire.

After i lowered the psi, it actually feels much better. I just took for a short drive, whenever I go over 50kmph the steering wheel will start wigglling a little left and right, back and fourth. Could it be that I'm using AP1 wheels on AP2.

Could be that they are old rubber. I also have an extra set of Ap1 wheels and tires but the tires could be 6 years old for all I know.

To check if the tires are out of round, try jacking up each wheel on the car and spinning them as fast as you can by hand...if you watch them spin from a steady perspective you can see if one is out of round or a wheel is bent. make sure no ebrake and you are in neutral for rear wheels.

Lower all psi to 35, and see if that makes a significant difference. It honestly could be a number of things
