sharing thoughts on turbo s2k.....
Hey guys!!! Finally I finished my research and came to a sad conclusion! I wanted to turbo my Honda S2k, but after I did my research it seems like if I don't have more then 10g+ put into my car it almost seems it doesn't run right. Even though some turbo owners might say it doesn't take 10g, I say so because you still have to have $$$ on standby just incase stuff starts to break.
All I want to say is to all turboed/supercharged owners, I give you much props for accomplishing what you accomplished today! Also to the fews owners that pushed the car to make 500rwhp that is truly something amazing.
I guess in a sense I should stop worrying about being faster and truly be greatful for the fact that I already own a Honda S2000 at the age of 18.
Maybe one day when I grow older and start to invest my $$$ wisely now I can do what I wanted to do when I am at the age of 22+

Save the money, enjoy the car, you don't need the extra power. If you have it you'll be encouraged to use it. Me and my friends did some pretty stupid things at that age. I'm lucky to be hear today. My friend was driving, standard high speed, windy road. Took a turn to fast and lost it. Hit a telephone pole and split the car in half. Took out the rear seats, but missed us. We got really lucky, no serious injuries. We all think we're invincible at that age, you don't want to find out the hard way that you're not!

Big horsepower is impressive for bragging rights and the one or two times for drag strip launches. In any case if you wanted cheap really big HP, think Mustang. For me straight line performance gets boring pretty quick.
The real fun of this car is in the corners on the autocross or track. Take the few grand you were going to spend on parts and do high performance driver education, track days and autocross for a couple of years. The big thrill for me is bracing for the lateral cornering G's, being pulled against the seat belts under braking and truly controling the car in all driving situations.
Don't get me wrong, HP is always good, but not the end all.

nicely put fongu... hrmm.. i also owned an s2000 while i was 18 and i was thinking the same thing that you were alan... but shrug.. we should just be grateful enough to own the ap1.... im just gonna end up putting the basic eih combo.. other then that. i think im just gonna work on the exterior.. the car is fast enough for me in my opinnion.. the more HP = the more responsible you have to be also.. drive safe out there.. i was one of the ones that learned the hard way
