Thumbs up Shaving Emblems

Hey Guys

I have recently picked up a ap2 front bumper that I wish to shave the bumper plugs, tow hook, and emblem off.

I was just down the local body shop which is also a friend. He advised me he could plastic weld the back shut then body fill the hole but said in a few months the outline will begin to show.

Could someone shed some light on the right way to do or does he just not want me to get mad at him?

Thanks in advance and post your pics (anyone have nfr)

^ the previous owner of my S did that. The holes are filled in, sure but there is a very small indention of where they used to be... I was thinking of getting some bondo and just repainting it. (the bondoed area)

This is exactly what I dont want happening

I know there is a special body filler for plactics that bond very well but is it enough?
Will the plactic welds on the back and body filler be able to with stand body flex?

My body shop used plastic filler and it never showed on my AP1 bumper.

I am picking mine up tomorrow. I did not have the tow huck cover done. My body shop used some fiber glass mesh as backing and then fillied used a plastic filler. He said that by doing it that way it won't shrink and that it would last as long as the front end lasts.
