I really hate the look & feel of the stock shift boot. It feels like rhino butt. I got a Momo shift boot with awesome leather, but I had to mod it to fit & it only fits on a Momo shift knob since it hasa screw wind on it. What are my options? I'm looking for nice material and look.

I've seen the ASM, but it has red stitching (don't care for red). Maybe if it was possible to go to a hemming store and have them replace it with white for my GPW...

I think it would be cool do do a mesh shift boot, like the Acura NSx-r.

 

 

I think one of the members here has some fabric/vinyl he's selling as shift boots and armrests. They are very tastefully done and can be custom colored for individual cars.

Is the mesh boot from the NSX-R a fabric or an actual metal screen type of material? I would think it is the former...

 

It's cloth. They used it to save 5 grams of weight.
