And, just like you're not supposed to drive resting your hand on the knob so as not to damage the synchros
Really?

^^^ Yep, it's true...it can cause additional wear to transmission parts.

I cradle the knob from the side as it if it was a pistol grip. Also i heard that resting your hand can be different to alot of people, and that it requires the shifter to actually push down some to damage to the transmission(like somewhat engaging into reverse). Is this true? Or can any weight no matter how light, damage it anways.

This is one of the reasons I like the Momo Anatomic -- it has finger contours on its throat and a subtle thumb groove across its top, all of which just fit my hand nicely.

I'm using mine without the screw-on ring on its base, and my shifter boot is snug up against the bottom of the leather on the knob, so it's one continuous piece. It doesn't, however, have the shift pattern. Also, like most of the Momo knobs, this one is universal and installs with three set screws, which need severe tightening and Lock-Tite or they'll come loose. HPH

Exactly.

I bought one of the Voodoo knobs and hated it, it felt too small in my hand. The Voodoo Magnum is just a bit bigger in diameter, and for me felt much better. Also, the Muz know is basically the same size as the Voodoo Magnum and being countersunk is also a great option. And as far as I'm concerned, if you are not going countersunk there is no good reason to change the knob, because counter sunk knobs just plain make this car way better. And the Muz has a nice little set screw and allen wrench included so the alignment can be perfect should you get it engraved.

i have the ricks spun aluminum one and it feels perfect, really not worth spending the extra 110 for ti, also if you have an 04 + the aluminum matches all the metal on the interior exactly, it looks like it was supposed to come with this from the factory, and it sits low and theres no gap with the shift boot. enough said

i really want a heavy knob because i've experienced how it can change shift feel. i got a jdm ti knob for my gf's rsx type s and after switching to that from the stock plastic knob the gearchanges felt noticeably smoother and it was just plain more enjoyable to shift. sure it might be an extra 110, but if you think about how much you row through the shifter each day it might be worth it.

This too was why I liked the Muz or Voodoo Magnum.

And for the record, nobody is going to convince me a slightly heavier knob is going to put extra undue stress on the shift linkage. Making a poor shift or just being ham fisted would put stress on the linkage, but smooth shifts with a slightly heavier knob, no way is that going to hurt the car...
