shift with no clutch

Shifting without letting off the gas is power shifting...... Crappy for gas mileage but helps the RPMS stay up when you hit the next gear.

Done it before and IMO I don't see that it would hurt the car.

Especially with a turbo car, the only problem is with the new clutch materials, sometimes with too many rpm they don't want to grab.

i've done it in my 4runner and prelude but never on the S2k. it's all about matching the rpms

In my tiburon I could up and downshift consistently without using the clutch I would do it all the time, won't try it with the S, gears are too tight IMO.

- done it on other cars with no problems, but I dunno about the s2k...
- also, motorcyle foos do it all the time...

define "HURT"
i'm assuming doing this you're not letting the revs drop to the proper RPM for the next gear...this isn't good for the synchros and clutch in the long run, but doing i a few times in a drag race (on the TRACK ) shouldn't "hurt"

i saw my dad do this in an RSX Type S when i was 13. the car had been released that day or some time around then and we were test driving the car just for fun. i was like suhhh-weeettttt

Just curious, what about pulling it out of gear into neutral with out the clutch? When I do it, it slides right out..
