Shifting
Yep, shifting!
Not a question about where the gears are or shift points but I need some insight/advice on engine rpm when shifting. The 2000s engine seems to have no flywheel at all. The second I lift off the accelerator and depress the clutch the engine seems to drop to idle and the shift makes me look and feel like a guy who can't drive.
Is there a sweet spot on the gas pedal when shifting during normal driving or to I just have to keep experimenting?

Here's an idea... find another S2000 owner local to you, preferably someone who has had theirs a while, better yet someone with proper track experience, and take a ride with them. Watch and learn how they clutch/upshift/downshift/throttle. That's how I learned all about rev matching.
Could be that you're lifting the accelerator before the clutch is fully disengaged - you'll get a slight engine braking effect and RPMs will drop. Just drive it more to get familiar with the clutch/throttle timing.
