It still does not say anything about the curves from 0% to 100%. Any ideas?

Nope, the entire chart is metric.

Left is torque in kg/m, right is RPMs, and bottom is km/h.

If you went down rather than up at 8500 you're still screwed

If I'm trying to get the most out of my shifting, I usually wait for 3 blinks of the red then shift.

I'm holding just under 9 in 3rd gear just before exiting turn 5 right before the carousel (turn 6) at Sears Point Raceway.

If the rev limiter is hit to many times can it damage your car? or for example my friend owned an 01 and he was doing like 70 some when by accident he wanted to drop to 4th and droped to 2nd by fractions of a second then quickly moved up to 5th cuz he got scared as hell . Would this have damaged the car? It seemed ok later. I told him the rev limiter saved him cuz if not he would of blown the engine but I wasnt sure if damage did happned.
Anyone knows?

The revlimiter only protects the motor from over-reving on an upshift. or accelleration. It WILL NOT save it from a mechanical over-rev, like your friends case. His car was probably ok because the clutch slipped or he got off the clucth fast enough. There have been many incidents with members on this board who has blown their motor from that type of mis-shift...
