Default shifting to 5th gear

Maybe its just me, but I can't seem to shift from 4th to 5th quick enough and the revs drop down too far. Any other shift and the revs match perfectly with a nice crisp shift, but the 4-5 just gets me everytime! Anyone else have this issue? Its very possibly just my driving style...

It simply has to be your shifting technique. I can engage it as quick as any.

Thanks for the article. I'm actually reading all the "driving technique" articles and finding them very helpful. I'll have to go practice in a bit now

How fast are you guys going that you are powershifting into 5th???? I wouldn't think it would be much of an issue since 4th is good to what, 120mph, is there a need to shift quickly into 5th?

After reading the article and practicing what I learned I can already tell a difference if my shifting time/technique. I can't heel-toe though, I think I might be too tall and my feet too big.

We aren't talking about powershifting (I never powershift my cars, its too hard on them). I was talking about shifting quickly enough for the engine speed to match road speed.
