After reading Road Rage's post on the proper way to shift (or how he was taught at his driving school), I realized that I was slowly learning a bad habit with the stock shift knob.

I ordered a Voodoo, and you definitly have to palm it in order to get a good shift, you can't finger shift or pistol shift it as easily as you can with the stock knob. Since I learned how to drive a stick on my MY04, it's still soon enough to break me of that habit.

I love the knob, I have the spun Magnum Ti Voodoo. The throws are shorter, but considering how short they are stock, it's nothing super cool to write home about. It's a nice thing to have though, and I'd probably get another one if I needed to.

I wish they had a leather wrapped one.

As for the top down and the knob getting hot. It gets warm, and it also gets cool in the cold. I don't believe it's anything too extreme however.

This is quoted from Rick's Site about the shift knob:

"Rick's Team Voodoo knobs are available in two sizes, regular and magnum. The magnum is recommended for drivers with large hands only. Here's a comparison of measurements and weights for the regular and magnum knobs.

Diameter regular: 1.875"
Diameter magnum: 2.0"
Titanium weight regular: 243 grams
Titanium weight magnum: 284 grams
Aluminum weight regular: 150 grams
Aluminum weight magnum: 175 grams
Neck diameter regular: .75"
Neck diameter magnum: .875 "

I don't know about that...I am 5'9" @ 175lbs ....so you can get the gist that I have normal sized hands (imo)....the magnum is a perfect fit.....I would recommend trying to find someone with each and test they out if you are that unsure...just a thought

I want one that is the same color as the OEM. Is that Spun or Pearl?? What color is the engraving through Ricks?

efthimios,
yours in that picture looks real nice, I think I might go with that, now I gotta decide about the size.
The engraving you have is the shift pattern right? I was thinking of taking it to a near by engraver and have them put S2000 on it.
