Default Shipping my S

I am curious about shipping my S2000 to Hawaii. Well, actually I'm not curious, I need to ship it as I will be moving there in a few months. Can anyone help me on this? I have seen so many companies listed online and I do not know who is reputable. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I will be shipping out my S, as well as my other vehicles as I will be heading back to my hometown at the end of the month...In the past I've used DAS ( www.dasautoshippers.com) and had no problems with them whatsoever...They actually delivered my cars much earlier than I had expected so I will use them again...There is another reputable company I've heard good things about called Intercity Lines ( http://www.intercitylines.com/ )

Also, do a board search since I believe a number of owners have shipped their S to another state. Best of luck on your move!

I know Horizon ships EVERY vehicle in a sealed container, and Horizon does not.

Question

Imposter!

I'm the R E A L MrClean

What is a little spooky is that I originally had a 2001 Spa Yellow S.

hmmm

This reminds me of that movie, Single White Female?

From Los Angeles to Honolulu, about $700 one way (this was the quote I got about 3 years ago)

Thanks a lot Hawkdog, and every one else! I am really excited about this move, but I was kinda worried about shipping my S! So, do I need to contact both companies? Like say I give DAS a call to have my car shipped to the west coast, do I need to call Horizon to have it shipped to Hawaii? Or will a company like DAS take care of the whole ordeal? How long do you think it would take to arrive in Hawaii from the east coast(I was thinking 3 weeks)?

Also, Hawkdog, was there anyhting you had to have done to the car once it arrived in Hawaii? Emissions tests, inspections, etc.?

I'm glad to see that I'm a member of such a tight community now that I own an S2K. Thanks a lot for the help!

MR CLEAN... hhmmm strange that we both seem fond of Spa Yellow... Even strangr is that I was considering putting a hardtop on mine with no front lip. Where are you from again??
