Don't shoot me for this basic question, but what is the best way to know that the shipping spacers were removed before the car was delivered to me?

Last night I took delivery of a new Spa Yellow Pearl. Great color!

Thanks

To find the rears you have to stick your head under the car and look at the springs. In front you reach over the front tire and feel around the spring to insure none are there.

Here is what they look like:

Congratulations on the new car!

The shipping spacers are black rubber inserts that keep the car from settling too low during transportation. If they are not removed during PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection)the car will handle very poorly. Just look in the coil springs on all 4 corners to confirm that they are gone.

Greg / Shelley - If memory serves correctly, a long time ago (H-A.net days?) cdelena posted some nice photos of the spacers that were left in his car. They would be a great addition to the "Taking Delivery FAQ" at S2Ki.

Coraldoc, consider it posted. I had a question the other day about the FAQ, and the person needing more clarification on the spacers. This thread will help a whole lot.

Thanks Shelley! That was fast. The only sugestion that I have is to fit the full width photograph in the article. A picture is worth a thousand words.
