C's short shifter is a true short shift kit and is of high quality and made in Japan. They can sometimes be found here and on Ebay. Combine this with a countersunk knob and you have a short shift indeed. Expect to pay at least $200 for the C's kit.

Just wondering, why do you need a short shifter in this car? It's already very short, IMO, if you go any shorter you just make it easier to overrev by accident.

There is no need for a short shifter kit on this car in my opinion. There are many soloutions for improved/different shift feel. The voodoo, or muz shift knobs will shorten the throw. I tried a voodoo knob and did not like the shortened throw but i still wanted to shift faster. I ordered a spoon titanium shift knob that is much lighter than stock. This allowed me to shift faster.

S2000 has one of the best shifters out there. You do NOT need a short shifter for this car unless you really need to shift fast n' furious for real track racing.

The C's kit is for RHD cars. And the whole "lean" issue towards the passenger is no biggie. I just installed it so the lean was towards me. I was given the C's kit for my 01' So I figured, "why not." It DOES make the throw shorter and the gears feel ALOT closer. I do understand where everyone is coming from saying it's short enough from the factory and completely agree Plus I guess I took it because I'm not sure there are too many people with it. And it's a somewhat rare jdm goodie (especially the fact I heard they went out of business).

Umm, I'm not so sure that the spoon knob is lighter, is it? The stock knob is aluminum, and at least in the voodoo knobs, the aluminum is lighter than the ti by at least a hundred grams, model for model. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
