No need to do CF like it was already noted above. You won't lose much if any weight (except from your wallet). Your first mod if you get an 06+ besides better tires should be a Flashpro. Even the "stock" reflash that drops vtec to 5600 and raises redline to 8500 makes the car much much more fun to drive and then when you boost it you'll be able to get it tuned.

These cars are great. You just need to know that the only way you're going to make any more than a negligible gain in power is to go with forced induction. There aren't any "cheap" mods because these cars come out of the box with pretty much everything you need for tracking. My "mod list" is very short and that is because I'm saving for a Science of Speed or Kraftwerks supercharger kit. You should also check both of those out over Comptech since you mentioned Comptech.

I'd mod a non-CR. If the car is going to be 99% street and show, you don't need a CR. It also keeps one more unmolested CR out there for people who buy it specifically for motorsport (and aren't allowed to mod it much).

If I buy the CR I will not touch it unless I want more power out of it.

like you expected and mentioned, a lot of the members from this community detest the whole "hellaflush" scene, including myself. i cringe just thinking of a cr with the hellaflush look or any s2k for that matter, it defeats the purpose of the "club racer" and its functionality, but each his own.

As always with threads like this: test drive to find your answer. None of these questions have one-size-fits-all answers no matter what car you're comparing to the S.

CF hood, trunk, maybe CF roof also, a single exhaust really want something light weight like j's racing or amuse I read that the intake is great on these cars so maybe a good filter, some light weight wheels Volks maybe. And later on a Comptech SC. Suspension wise I have to do some research I guess I have not really looked that much maybe you guys can help
Spend some time getting to know your S on the track. Then you'll know what you want/need.

So now I just have to find me a white S2000 with low miles and trade my car in. And first mod is going to be Enkei GTC01 Hyper Black I know people will hate me for this but I'm going with 18's F 18x8.5 +35 5x114.3 R 18x9.5 +38 5x114.3. Really like those wheels and maybe keep the stocks with some good tires for the track days. Is that offset too low??? I really like the hellaflush look lol (also I know some people will hate me for that) or would I need a different offset?
I'll come back one last time to explain the reasoning behind my little emoticons since you are coming from a g35 which can run lower offset wheels. The s2000 doesn't have as much clearance to run those offsets at a descent and usable camber and stance(on stock body) like the g35/350Z can. The stock ap2 wheels come in really high offset.

Front...17x7 +55 offset
Rear....17x8.5 +65 offset

For you to run the sizes and offsets you have mentioned you would have to run a ridiculous amounts of camber to clear the fenders(-4 or more degrees of camber). Which, to some looks hella-cool and to others looks hella-broken suspension. The only way to clear those sizes and offsets with usable camber settings is with overfenders or widebody kits. At that point, you are left with hacking the car up and its costing you more than its worth it. You end up messing with the body lines that are considered classic and beautiful in their own right. To fit those 18" wheels you have mentioned above is mainly for looks, 17's are the sweet spot for performance in the s2000. Plus tires get much more expensive when moving up to 18's.
