Default Should I buy?

Next January is my golden birthday (30) and ever since I was a kid I told myself that I was going to buy a sports car for that birthday. Well, its almost here......and the S2000 is high on my list. For the reviews I've read from everywhere imaginable to Honda's quality, reliability, the power, the engineering of the car, the price, etc., its a car I've liked a lot! Is there something else I should consider (besides a Boxster S, which would have to be used because of the price)?

Thanks
Bob

Lots of good cars out there that should be in the mix - 350z, G35/37, Boxster, C6 vette, Porsche 996, among others. Each has its own postives and negatives. The S is a great car, reliable, good performance, broad aftermarket but its certainly not the only game in town. Do your homework, drive as many as you can, ask questions and see which one puts the biggest smile on your face.

If you ask this question on a different forum, you will get a different answer. I've made my point. Good luck searching for the right car.

A test drive should let you know if it's the right car for you. You will either fall in love with the car or decide that you would rather have something else.

if this is your criteria:
a convertible is a plus
great handling is a must
good stying
reliability is important
it has to be fun
quick/fast, but it doesnt have to be the fastest on the block
you think that torque does not equal fast
you don't care that it's not the newest model on the market

then this is a great car for you. since you drive a tsx, i'd bet most of these fit what you want in a sports car.

Buying a boxter, your buying a name cause is really not all that impressive (considering your spending a shit load of money) My friend bought an 07 caymen NONE S an i beat him in everything there is to beat him in quarter mile, auto-cross etc.. You should get the s2k, damn good car man!
