Default Should I buy this car?

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie here so bear with me while I as the typical newbie questions. I spend most of my time on BimmerForums racing forum. I have been interested in the S2000 since it first came out and I decided since I just turned 40 I need to treat myself to one.

The car that I have found is a 2006 Laguna blue/black interior with 15k miles. It has the oem front and rear spoiler, very nice stereo upgrade, lightly tinted windows, lifetime XM radio subscription. It has be adult owned (female) and garage kept. I can get the car for $25,500. Is this a pretty good deal? I have a tendency to trade vehicles quite often so I figured I might be able to drive this car for a year and sell it for almost what I paid for it.

Thanks for any thoughts and opinions. I'm sure I'll be lurking around here and asking more repetitive questions in the near future.

You might want to check some dealers to see if you can find a left-over new 06. If you look around you might get a pretty good deal on one. Probably pretty darn close to invoice, especially if it is sitting at a dealer in a northern climate.

You just may end up liking this car so much you'll be keeping it longer than 1 1/2 yrs. Anyhow, good luck with your purchase.

I'm guessing its a good deal, but I have not been in the market for a while. Try searching for other comparable cars and that will tell you how good of a price it is.

Best wishes on the purhase, awesome Christmas present!

That's a good deal. Your reasoning is right on. If you trade cars frequently, don't buy a new one. A 2006 will still have 2 years left on the factory warranty although being a Honda, you may not need it much. Go for it and enjoy.

I'm in North Carolina. I also found a 2006 silver s2000 w/ 5k miles for $25000. I think its the best price available for a nearly new s2000.

Another car that I have considered is a 2003 Z4 3.0 six speed. I found one w/ 37k miles (still under warranty) for $22,500. I know they are different cars but I like both. I am going to drive both of them tomorrow and make a decision.

Thanks for all of the comments.
