Default Should I buy Spa?

Hey everyone. I have been shopping for another S2 for about 3 months. I have went from new or nothing. (this wil be my first used car) To settling on the fact that I should be smart and buy used. I have had nothing bu trouble finding a car that meets my expectations. I always keep my cars as fawless as a person bordering on ocd can lol. I had originally set out for a silver or white or nothing else. (i had a sil/red 01 back in 01) But all the cars in that catagory have not been in the condition or mileage I want. I found a red 03 (03 is now the magic year for me) red with 4200 miles still under factory extended waranty until 2010 for 16.5k, but the car was bought out from under me.

...Which leads me to where I am today. I have found a 03 in spa yellow with 14k miles honda certified. Car is in freaking pristine condition. Still on the factory tires. Southern car. (thats another issue I have run into, I am now only looking for southern cars. All the cars I have found from the north the undercaraige is not int he codition i want from snow and salt) for 16k

Now I have been looking and looking at pics of yellow s2ks. Some look pretty bad. And some look insanely good. i'm just now sure. For the people with Spa cars how do you feel about the color now that you've had it awhile? And the thing is the more I look at other colors the less important it is to me to have silver.....

......has this post made any sense?? ......lol

I dont want black, cant handle the swirls. Red is just about as bad with swirls as black.
Not a fan of the Laguna blue interiors.

Maybe a Spa on some AP2 wheels or enkei rpf1's is the answer?

GPW J/K Sorry to hijack the thread.. I don't have spa but the newer more yellow one is awesome and I love it. There are two around where I work and I think they look hot.

My friend has had his 2003 yellow and I think it looks nice! Garnishes a little more attention for my tastes but still nice. This car can pull off yellow .

Overall I agree with qshoq... GPW FTW!!!

Also I think you mean Suzuka Blue not Laguna Blue (the latter only on '06+ model years). There is also one year (2005 I think) where suzuka blue has all black interior

All in all, it's ultimately how you feel about the color. Exterior color is important to me and I learned that after my last car. Just keep looking for the one you REALLY want, you won't regret it. I still do double takes and smile everytime I see my car and thank myself every day for paying a little more for getting the only color I wanted.

ya meant suzuka. I have seen a couple spa cars that on AP2 wheels and enkei rpf1's that look incredible! But I've seen some spa pics where the car looked all washed out. Must be the lighting. This would be my first yellow. Generally buy more monotone. But I'm not opposed, really all the opinions I can get would be great. I'd never even consider many cars i yellow.

And being that im looking for an 03 the more time goes by the harder a super low mileage pristine car is going to be to find.

Spa, Rio, they both look great. I have had mine for a while now and it looks better to me every day. It really stands out and I get a lot of complements on the color.

I present the following images to help sway your opinion. My car is Rio Yellow but you get the point.

I own a yellow S. When I was fist looking for an S I was looking for black or White (like everyone else). Then one day i passed a Honda lot in my town and there was a MINT MY01 spa sitting there. I fell in love. The yellow is so much better in person. It shows off the lines of the car really well.

I'd say go for it...yellow can look good, IMO.

Spa is a gorgeous color on the S. Back when I was looking for an S, I test drove an 01 Silverstone, an 02 Spa, and an 03 Berlina. The Spa looks so great in person. It also had 14k miles on it like the one you are looking at, but they were charging up the ass for it. Now that I think about it, after driving a black sports car, I don't know if I can drive a bright yellow one. I don't like attracting that much attention, but that's just me. You really have to have the personality to pull off a yellow car IMO.

Mine is yellow and I love the attention, you'll get lots of it. If you dont want to be noticed don't get yellow.
