Thumbs up should i stroke out the engine

im thinking of stroking out the f20 to at least a 2.5 to 2.7
is it a good idea or is it just a waste of money?
or just a 2.2 or just run some boost?

2.7? O.O i've seen 2.45 but 2.7? the cylinder walls on the F are already really thin....so i don't know how you're gonna stroke it to 2.7, i guess the only way would be to stroke and bore.

I dont think you'll be able to rev as much with a higher displacement engine? I think FI will probably be the easiest way to get power, if thats what you're after.

I would stroke it to 2.2 or 2.4 litres using mostly honda parts and FRM friendly pistons. Good value for not a lot of money.

If you have lots of money then sleeving the block and building to > 2.4 L would be even more fun.

Why do that...when you can get a K24, and somehow figure a away to mate it to the transm
You must have put a lot of thought into this.

On one hand you take a F20, change the crank, rods and pistons, then plug in an AEM, dyno and you are away.

On the other hand, start with a K24, build the engine up with a K20A head so you have decent power potential. Then make a bellhousing adapter, custom flywheel to support the spigot bearing and match up with the F20C pull clutch setup. Then try to fit engine mounts on the side of an engine designed to go in a front wheel drive, work out how to get the exhaust on, how to get air into the inlet manifold when the throttle body is against the firewall, adapt the water, electrics to match the S2000. Adapt a different wiring loom into the S2000 loom, work out how to drive the instrument panel from your choice of ECU, and if you finally get it working then tune it and then you may get to drive it.
