I just had this same debate but the potential replacement was an STI. I can't do it. Go S2000!

do what you HAVE to do

backseat can be cheap and easy to have though for like $500.

I traded my 03 evo for an 05 s2k...

You might want to take the time to look at how much timing belt is going to be on an Evo~ I think the S2K will last longer, and I think the Evo is not going to last much longer.

Just my 2 cents.
I agree. The evo's wear a lot faster as they are turbo and people usually drive them harder. 50K on an evo is a lot more than 50K on an S. I know because I owned an 04 Evo and drove the crap out of it.

Def asking the wrong board about whether you should trade in your S.

As several have said above only YOU can decide whether to trade it in or not. Also, think about the option of buying a cheap used sedan for the "backseat" and still be able to kick it on the weekends in your S.

if its going to be a daily driver, I say no. the car is fun but I hate how it drinks gas like its going out of fashion. The car is fun non-the-less and i would buy one as a weekend car.

It should be noted that a timing belt isnt a concern in the S, it has a timing chain.
