I thought I saw spoon side mirrors. Has anybody used them? Curious to see if there are any comments.

 

What is a spoon side mirror?

 

just the piece glass that you replace to the side mirrors to see object closer (give you more range to prevent blind spots). I guess???

It was a piece of mirror that attached over the existing mirror. I'm going to have to go look for it again. To show you where I saw it.

 

their was a GB on the spoon mirror but the guy stopped it because the mirrors kept on falling off.

 

They are blue tinted mirrors like BMW's, Benz's, etc. They are just a stick on over existing stock mirrors.
I heard some members were have trouble keeping them on. They were around $120 for both.
Since are from Japan, I'm not if the views are the same as the US. Meaning, the passengers side "Object closer than they appear" might be on the drivers side for us.

 

I think 4IG was doing the GB on these till he withdrew as a sponsor. That mirror was outrageously expensive for something that simple and didn't work well. Over a 100 bucks for just the glass???? If you really gotta have a convex mirror on that side, try going to your dealer and see if he'll order the one off of a right hand drive car or get one of our members from UK to get one for you. Should only cost about $35.00 plus shipping. Our right mirror only costs about that.

 

Well I guess if they won't stay stuck, I'll have to look into other methods. Thanks for the info.

 

Here check out my installation on the option replacement side mirrors available only in Japan.
These are not stick on and they are direct replacement.

Check out my report while back then, photos are not there since photopoint is gone but I still have them in my harddrive and if anyone wants'em I will either reinstate here or e-mailed to you.

Special coating is the caveat of these mirrors and yes the sides are reversed meaning wider angle on right side instead of left side but that hasn't bothered me.
Also coated cool blue, I love them.

Yes I believe stick-on is not a way to go.
