Default Side by Side Comparison of some differences between the 2001 and 2002 (Pics)

850 came over last night and I just thought people might want to see a side by side comparison of these items. For those on a dial-up connection, sorry for the large sizes of the pics.

1) Badges are different sizes, this has been discussed but thought I'd try to show the size difference. Seems like an increase of about 150%, man those things are big.

2) Center console cover. Honda may have stole the idea but they also expanded on it. Nice clean upgrade. Hard to see but the plastic piece on the backside of the headrest is also different. Honda added what looks like metallic paint to many parts on the interior.

3) Nobody said anything about the convertible top "strikers" (that's what Honda calls them in the service manual) being different on the windshield frame. Why the change? Were there problems with the roof latching?

Kind of odd that they put the vinyl lining back behind the seats down near the floor.

Yes, that is pure, virgin, wrap-around vinyl . The size of that badge is grotesque, IMHO. In my view, understatement is always better than something that screams "look at me."

Rick, maybe you should give Honda a taste of their own medicine change yours so the leather goes around the seat.

It's all about the "bling-bling" baby!!!

To date, there's nothing I dislike on my '02. . .the Honda emblems are a little larger but I've noticed folks stop asking if it's a damn Z3!!!

Honda has enlarged their emblems on all models because of shitty little companies like "Hyundai" having a similar logo design. IMO, I think it's about time Honda stands up and gives the SMACK DOWN!!!
